ISLEÑOS, A ROOT
OF AMERICA
DOCUMENTAL
SYNOPSIS
Isleños, A Root of America tells the story of an American community of Canary Islander origin that has maintained its identity and customs for two hundred years, preserving the Spanish culture that existed in the Canary Islands during the 18th century.
The search for the identity of this community makes Isleños, A Root of America a universal story. A journey through American history guided by a community largely unknown to the general public, yet with a significant and unique influence on the politics, arts, wars, and society of the United States.
